Radio Merit Badge Clinic

On Saturday, September 20 from 10:00am – 4:00pm, the Duke City Hamfest will host a Radio Merit Badge Clinic*. What you’ll learn:

  • Everything you need for the radio merit badge
  • How radio waves work
  • Operating amateur radio equipment
  • Emergency communication techniques
  • Hands-on activities and live demos

The clinic itself is free, but registration is required. For further details and to register, please email Gerry Jurrens at N2GJ@arrl.net before September 6. Participation will be limited to approximately 50 individuals.

Attending other parts of the Duke City Hamfest (presentations, indoor vendor area, etc) requires separate hamfest registration. Scouts in uniform and youth under 18 years of age receive free admission.

Plated lunch options are available on Saturday through the Hamfest. Guaranteed pre-orders close on Friday, September 5, but walk-up lunches may be available during the event on a first-come, first-serve basis.
