Transparency:
We are providing details about the information we collect and how we use that information. We  are also explaining your choices, options and the control you have over your information.

What information do we collect?
The NMHI/DCHF maintains a database of registrants, current and past. Information stored in  the database is the same as the information requested on our event Registration form. We also  include the date, amount, and payment method of the last Registration payment.

Why do we retain this information?
We retain this information to understand the statistics of our Registrants, to allow us to  communicate our information to the Registrants, and to provide services that come with  registration to our events.

Requests for copies of stored data, verification of data in our database, updating or deletion of
data, or any other matter associated with registration data can be directed to the NMHI/DCHF
webmaster.

Do we share Information?
We do not share information directly with any third party except as noted below:

  • The NMHI/DCHF uses a mail list service known as MailChimp to distribute
    newsletters and other official corporate business. We provide a name, call sign, and
    email address to MailChimp. Members have direct access to their data on
    MailChimp (there is a link at the bottom of every email message) and can request
    that it be changed, removed (or added) at any time. MailChimp’s privacy policy can
    be reviewed at mailchimp.com. Requests for removal can also be made to the
    NMHI/DCHF webmaster.
  • The NMHI/DCHF uses Stripe, Inc. to process online registration payments. The  NMHI/DCHF maintains data provided on the registration form filled out prior to  checkout but transfers control to Stripe, Inc. during the check-out process. The  NMHI/DCHF does not have access to or store any financial information on any of our  servers. The Stripe, Inc. privacy policy can be viewed at the Stripe Privacy Center.
  • We also use Google Analytics to better understand how well our web site is working and how we can improve it.   See Google’s privacy statement.
